Atlas Car & Mfg. Co.

The Atlas Car & Mfg. Co. located in Cleveland, Ohio began its production career building rail cars for industry & mines in 1896.  Atlas in 1907 recognized the demand for small battery locomotives & expanded their line of equipment to encompass small locomotives. Having built rail equipment and becoming experts throughout the industry Atlas opened their vision to include all aspects of almost every industry including: mining, steel mills, clay plants, chemical plants, quarries.
