Whitcomb Locomotive

This builder of locomotives actually had a short life span. The George D. Whitcomb Co. (Whitcomb Loocmotives) started production in 1906.  In the beginning the company only produced small locomotives with the heaviest weighing 10 tons. In 1930 Whitcomb was forced to file bankruptcy and  in 1931 Baldwin Locomotive Works owned a majority of Whitcomb's stock. The name Whitcomb remained as a production name for the next 10 years.
