Vulcan Iron Works
Vulcan Iron Works was located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Vulcan began manufacturing steam locomotives in 1874. Located in the HEART of the Anthracite coal industries Vulcan quickly adapted their facility to also build mine locomotives. In the 20's Vulcan began manufacturing small industrial locomotives then larger diesel locomotives to compete with other builders.
